SPARED BOY (working title) is a 2D action platformer currently under development at GooCat Studio

Synopsis

About a hundred years ago, a strange substance capable of transforming into anything was discovered. Dubbed 'The Underground Matter,' it prompted the British government to deploy a secret science vessel to the North for investigation.

Henry, a student in colonial Korea, is brutally bullied by his Japanese peers. They throw acid on his face and slash it with a razor, nearly killing him. In despair, Henry rejects all medical treatment, but his parents—both scientists—cannot bear to lose their son. They inject the Underground Matter into his body, granting him a new form that can shift into any shape.

Soon after, Henry’s family moves to the Royal Naval Laboratory, the science vessel stationed in the North. Despite the looming threat of the Nazi German Navy seeking to seize the ship, Henry is hopeful about starting over. However, the power of the Underground Matter is more than he can control. Another period of turbulence in Henry's life is about to begin..
